Central Computing Facility (CCF) of the college has been set up in the Administrative block and it will provide access of network to students and staff. CCF includes a server room, two browsing area with 50 desktops, UPS room and printers. The dept. of Computer Science & Engineering of our college manages the functioning of CCF. For the network services, CCF has the high end computational servers on which accounts are given to students, staff and faculties of various departments.
College of Engineering Perumon has an extensive fiber optic network over the whole campus routed and Managed by UTM appliances. The college computing facilities are also used for conducting various online tests. Online Journals like IEEE, Springer etc. are available in the CCF. The CCF is open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on all working days and caters the needs of all staffs and students of the college.
The college is also a member of the National Knowledge Network (NKN). NKN with its multi-gigabit capability aims to connect all universities, research institutions, libraries, laboratories, healthcare and agricultural institutions across the country. NKN is maintained by National Informatics Network (NIC), Government of India. NKN provides a bandwidth of 100 mbps to the college. The CCF also maintains a backup connection of 100mbps from Kerala Vision to deal the rare event of an NKN connection failure.
The institute has a 24 X 7 Wi-Fi facility in the college campus for the students and faculty members to avail internet connection at any place in the college. It provides students the facilities of e-mail, net surfing, up/down loading of web based applications and helps them in preparing projects & seminars presentations.
