The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The soldier youth foundation in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.
The 3K Naval NCC Wing of College Of Engineering, Perumon aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.
The 3K Naval NCC wing of College Of Engineering Perumon follows to the letter the vision of empowering volunteer youth to become potential leaders and responsible citizens of the country; and the mission of developing leadership, character qualities, discipline, nurturing social integration and cohesion through multi-faceted programmes conducted in a military environment. Towards these ends, the NCC wing of the college organizes a number of programmes around the year aimed at committed social action. The NCC subunit was started in the year 2020 with 17 cadets.
We, the cadets of the National Cadet Corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizens of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.

The first "Rowing Boat Simulator" in the country was installed at College of Engineering Perumon on behalf of 3 K Naval NCC Sub - Unit of the college. It is the first of its kind in any college (Arts and Science or Engineering) all over India. It is the 12th such lab installed all over India. At present there are 9 simulators present in NCC Units around the country, 1 at Merchant Navy Institute Birla Mumbai, 1 simulator at BM High School Bhawanipatna in Odisha and 1 simulator lab at NCC Sub - Unit CEP.
On the occasion of Anti Drug Day 3 K Naval NCC Sub-Unit College of Engineering Perumon in association with Kerala Police - Anchalummood Station, Vimukti Kerala Excise and Student Police Cadets of GHSS Anchalummood organized the Anti - Drug Day Awareness Rally. The program was attended by 70 SPC Cadets of GHSS Anchalummood and 30 NCC Cadets of 3 K Naval NCC Sub - Unit CEP.
