Bibliographic Service:

Bibliographic service is a service which provides the information about the author, title, edition, publisher, year of publication, etc of a particular document / work in library. The Bibliographic Services Department of Central Library is responsible for these behind-the-scenes procedures: acquisition, cataloguing, processing, and allocation of materials as well as records maintenance for display on the online catalogue (OPAC).

Circulation Service

Circulation Services assists library patrons with the location and circulation of library materials. Functions include check-outs and check-ins of materials, Renewal of materials , collection of fines and other charges, re shelving of library materials, and maintaining order in shelving areas. . A circulation department is one of the key departments of our library.

Current Awareness Service

Current awareness services are available to keep you up-to-date with the most recent publications and developments in Science & Technology field. The purpose of a current-awareness service is to inform the users about new acquisitions in their libraries. Our Engineering College Central Library has used Library display boards and shelves to draw attention to recent additions.

Electronic Resource Management (ERM)

(ERM) is the practices and software systems used by libraries to keep track of important information about electronic information resources, especially internet-based resources such as electronic journals, databases, and electronic books. The Central Library offers many open source informative products such as Koha, DSpace, etc and those are well customized to handle metadata for accessing resources to students and staff in library.


E-Journal Service

Library Services provides access to a huge range of Full –text electronic information from online databases and INDEST e-journals resources which includes IEEE Explore, ASME, ASTM, Elsevier, J-Gate, Mc Graw-Hill, Springer, etc to students and staff in our Engineering College.

OPAC Service

An Online Public Access Catalog (often abbreviated as OPAC or simply library catalog) is an online database of materials held by a library. Users search a library catalog principally to locate books and other material available at a library..

Digital Reference Service

The “digital reference” service or “e-reference” service is an advancement of the traditional services that is emerging as natural solution to meet the user's information needs in the changing environment. Reference librarians are also using internet to serve its community.
